Happy Thanksgiving!
November is a special time to slow down and reflect on all the things we're thankful for. Thanksgiving is more than a holiday filled with delicious food-it's a celebration of gratitude, kindness, and togetherness. It's a time to appreciate the people who make our lives brighter and the simple moments that bring us joy every day. Thanksgiving reminds us to show appreciation in big and small ways-by saying "thank you," lending a helping hand, or sharing a smile. It's also a wonderful opportunity to talk with children about what it means to be thankful and how we can express it through our actions.
Fun Ways to Celebrate Thanksgiving:
- Create a Thankful Tree: Cut out paper leaves and write or draw something you're grateful for on each one. Hang them on a branch or wall to make a beautiful reminder of gratitude.
- Acts of Kindness: Encourage small acts of kindness-sharing toys, helping a sibling, or making a card for someone special. These simple gestures spread joy and appreciation.
- Family Feast: Cook or bake something together as a family. Even little hands can help stir, mix, or decorate, making the meal feel extra special.
- Storytime of Thanks: Read books or tell stories about gratitude and giving. It's a meaningful way to spark conversation about what makes our hearts feel full.
A Thought to Remember:
Gratitude grows when we practice it every day. Whether it's saying thank you for a hug, the sunshine, or a favorite snack, each moment of thankfulness helps build a kinder, more caring world. Wishing you and your family a warm and joyful Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, and gratitude.
We are sincerely thankful to all of our children and their families! We appreciate your love & support!
Sincerely,
Missy Sjolin

- STOP for school buses! As you see daily there are multiple buses dropping and picking up children at Kid’s Haven. We want to ensure safety in the parking lot.
