CURRICULUM
The following is a short summary of what we at Kid's Haven use as our program plan for each age group.
Infants
Infants experience abundant love and attention. Their
|
|
environment provides an atmosphere which encourages each new level of development along with a calm and quiet napping area. All of the infants are supervised and cared for at all times.
Toddlers
Toddlers learn to express themselves and communicate through small group activities. They learn to get along with others by taking turns and sharing. Muscle development and motor skills are also incorporated with emphasis on large muscle development and motor skills. They are introduced to basic academic skills, supervised, and cared for at all times, but most of all they are allowed to be toddlers.
Preschoolers
Our preschool curriculum is meant to prepare the children for kindergarten. They further develop their social skills as well as learn numbers, letters, rhymes, and listening skills. Muscle development, coordination, and motor skills are also incorporated emphasizing small muscle development. Children are supervised and cared for at all times, but most of all they are allowed to be kids.
School-agers
School-age children are encouraged to share their school activities with our staff after returning from school. They will have time to unwind after school by playing games, watching videos, playing with their peers, hanging out in the game room or enjoying time in our commons area. During the summer months, they will have many fun filled learning days to remember for a lifetime. Our school-age children are also allowed to just be kids.
